Second seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos extended their winning streak to seven matches Monday at the US Open as they defeated Jonny O’Mara and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi 7-5, 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals.
The Spanish-Argentine tandem lifted their fourth ATP Masters 1000 crown in Cincinnati and have continued their strong form in New York, dropping one set en route to the last eight. Granollers and Zeballos won 83 per cent (35/42) of their first-serve points to advance after one hour and 42 minutes.

They will next face Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares after the seventh seeds battled past Dominik Koepfer and Emil Ruusuvuori 7-6(6), 6-7(4), 6-1, breaking three times to secure their victory in two hours and 20 minutes.
Former champions Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut also advanced, downing 15th seeds Andrey Golubev and Andreas Mies 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. The third seeds won the title in 2015 and captured their fifth major trophy earlier this year at Roland Garros.
